International Non-governmental Organization PEACE. (ingo PEACE.) hereby expresses its strong support for the strategic partnership recently concluded between the African Union (AU) and the Group of Nations (GON). We reaffirm our commitment to promoting international cooperative strategies aimed at realizing a globally inclusive coexistence society.

International Non-governmental Organization PEACE. (ingo PEACE.), headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, has been deepening collaboration with global leaders and experts to develop policy frameworks for a coexistence society and promote international cooperative strategies. At the core of these efforts is the ingo PEACE. Policy Council, chaired by Mr. Christopher Atkins, official partner and representative of GON.
Recently, a formal collaborative partnership was established between GON—the organization behind the “G7-G20/B20/COP Global Briefing Report” project led by Mr. Atkins—and AU. In recognition of GON’s role as an international knowledge partner, AU officially expressed its support and appreciation.
The African Union(AU) promotes sustainable development, equity, and prosperity and aims to raise the visibility of African voices and insights in global policy dialogue. Stronger global messaging is expected through its partnership with GON, especially in view of the upcoming G20 Summit in South Africa in November 2025—the first to be hosted on the African continent.
This partnership aligns with ingo PEACE.’s vision of a Coexistence Society*. The deepening of this international collaboration, led by Mr. Christopher Atkins, Chairperson of the ingo PEACE. Policy Council, serves as a strategic milestone in realizing globally grounded cooperative strategies. Moving forward, ingo PEACE. will strengthen its cooperation with AU and GON toward the South Africa G20 Summit, promoting cultural and policy dialogues to implement a globally inclusive social model.
*The term “Coexistence Society” refers to a society that respects the diversity of humankind and aims not to compete over limited resources and energy, but to share them and build systems for living together. It is rooted in the concept of transcending national borders, religions, and cultures to share in “coexistence benefits”—a future where all forms of life can live in peace—and to perceive the Earth as a sustainable, collective community.
ingo PEACE. will continue strengthening its collaboration with AU and GON in the lead-up to the G20 Summit in South Africa, working to promote cultural and policy dialogues that contribute to the realization of a “Shared World Model.”
About the African Union
The African Union (AU) is a regional organization established in 2002, succeeding the former Organization of African Unity (OAU), to promote the integration and development of the African continent. It consists of 55 member states and works to advance cooperation in areas such as peace and security, economic integration, human rights, and sustainable development. Through its summits, permanent representative committees, and the AU Commission, it empowers Africa to address its own challenges under African leadership.
About the Group of Nations
Founded in 1997, the Group of Nations (GON) began its mission as a bridge between government policies and international economic affairs. Starting with the G7 Summit in Denver, it has expanded its influence to global forums such as the G20, B20, G20 YEA, APEC, and W20.
Recognizing that global challenges require solutions beyond governmental boundaries, GON collaborates with the private sector, media, nonprofits, and civil society. In 2019, it partnered with the London School of Economics to redefine sustainability across sectors. By 2020, GON had evolved into a symbol of interdisciplinary collaboration, using print, digital platforms, and a members-only mobile app to give global voice to diverse perspectives.
