At the Yangon Central Women’s and Children’s Hospital in the South Okkalapa district of Yangon, Myanmar, a cervical cancer screening and treatment program was conducted under the guidance of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
This program was organized by the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (MIDO), and ingo PEACE. participated and supported the initiative as one of its members.

This effort goes beyond simple medical assistance. It is grounded in the belief that “listening to people’s voices and acting from the perspective of citizens” is essential, aiming to provide hope and reassurance to women who face difficulties in accessing medical care.

From the Speech of ingo PEACE. Representative Director, Dr. Peter Ngun Za Cung

“On this occasion, I would like to express my deep respect to the Ministry of Health and the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization for sincerely listening to the voices of those who face challenges in receiving medical checkups and treatments under difficult circumstances, and for turning those voices into concrete action. Listening to the voices of the people is the attitude most needed today. I believe that this continued effort has made this activity truly meaningful.”

Dr. Cung expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all involved and shared his joy that ingo PEACE., through such opportunities for social contribution, can stand close to people by providing comfort and hope.

Community-Based “Coexistence-Oriented Medical Support”

The event brought together representatives from various religious organizations, medical professionals, and volunteers, creating a platform of solidarity that transcended boundaries to support life itself.

This attitude of walking together beyond differences in religion, culture, and status deeply resonates with the philosophy of ingo PEACE., which upholds the ideal of “Peace through Coexistence.”

ingo PEACE. will continue to collaborate with local partners to improve access to healthcare throughout Myanmar and to promote initiatives aimed at building a society where no one is left behind.
